This hotel no longer has any F&B facilities (apart from a pool bar at weekends). On this basis, they offer a grab and go breakfast which is covered by the Diamond amenity. On Friday, I had a croissant, bagel and two types of water which I had to take back to the room. The bagel could not be toasted and they struggled to get me a knife. See picture.

Saturday morning, there was an area in the old bar that could be used to eat which helped reduce the excessive packaging used. I had the breakfast burrito (which is the only hot item), which was actually quite nice. Only one water allowed or an apple juice (no orange juice).

Not exactly fitting with the Kimpton brand.

The full story in regards to this property is the Restaurant space was third party (Ostera Morini). They went out of business over the Summer.

The hotel had a decent breakfast menu with Morini and the Diamond Voucher covered it.

The owner has decided to field other suitors for another third party restaurant rather than doing it in-house as a Kimpton Branded Restaurant. Given the upcoming development next door, the Grand Hyatt and Thompson Miami Beach (which has the same owner as the Kimpton Palomar Miami Beach) being built down the road on 15th and the Citizen M Hotel anchored mixed used area going up where the Wells Fargo Bank on Alton, the next block away south, the owner finds it more profitable to have a third party pay him rent to operate with the upcoming foot traffic on the West side of Mid-Beach/South Beach/Sunset Harbor.

Until then, they will have half assed breakfast.
