General question about ordering special meals...my wife & I are flying in J to South Africa for our honeymoon (MIA-DOH-JNB) and we are both gluten-free; are special meals (GF in this case) like US domestic airlines, where it's entirely off-menu dish that's packaged & served independent of the normal service, or is it just modifications to the regular menu? This is our first time in QR (and flying int'l J, for that matter) and would love to indulge in the normal service, taking our chances that at least one entree is already GF or can be easily modified (ie, remove an aspect of the dish)...but if they won't do modifications, or if some dishes can "sell out" by the time we order, we of course will play it safe and pre-select Gluten Free options.
