Imho they both have their advantages.
+ KLM offers much better legroom, though quite narrow seats (As long as they still operate the B737..)
+ KLM offers a hot snack (Albeit of, imho, pretty bad quality - borderline inedible at times)
But then for AF
+ Higher quality cold meal
+ Airbus fleet: Less legroom but wider seats compared to the B737
Personally I'd pick whichever is most suitable time/route/price wise. Or, go for one of the competitors if you fly on a route where hot meals are offered. The food is by far the biggest negative on both AF/KL on these longer routes (IMHO), and many other airlines do much better in this regard.

If they do serve pre-dep drinks it is fairly new; This was not the case on my ATH flights not too long ago.
