It seems to me that you are destroying your own argument here. The issue bears zero connection to the price paid. If it did, you would be legitimising a poor treatment of someone on an award ticket, even more so of someone who was on a J ticket at the relevant time. I am sure that this is not your intention so perhaps we could leave the price of a P ticket out of the discussion. Rude behaviour by a lounge manager is just as reprehensible whether you travelled for free, paid 1 eurocent for your ticket or an astronomical amount.

As to talking about "AF apologists", I am not sure that it is warranted about posters who are more often than not rather critical of various aspect of AF service. In any event, I do not think that much is gained by using such inflammatory language. This happens on other forums. We have tended to avoid that on the AFKL board. It would be good if we could continue to do so.
