Any idea why the BA255 from LHR to BGI was delayed 4+ hours on Tuesday and again by 2.5 today? Just tried to see if there is a pattern as flying there in next week or so. In both cases the assigned plane was in LHR hours in advance of the scheduled take off time.
Both delays are due to technical issues. Damage and subsequent tech faults on Tuesday necessitated an aircraft change and full re crewing from home standby, and on Friday the aircraft was refused by the commander until they were suitably satisfied the aircraft was fit for the service to meet the demands of that day, again due to tech issues.
