I called united and they said I can only contact the mileage plus people via email. I did. I had a response telling me I needed a valid credit card on file with a billing phone number. I did all that and still not luck. United stopped returning my emails 10 days ago . The miles are expiring at the end of July. I feel really screwed over by them. Any suggestions? I wish I could just call someone and resolve it.
I had the same problem trying to purchsse a gift card. I sent an email to Mileage plus X several weeks ago with no resolution to the problem. But i went ahead a dwelled a little further in their website in "Terms and Conditions" for the gift cards. I read that they have "daily" limitation on the amount of miles you can use to purchase a gift card. I had all kinds of issues with purchasing a gift card for Best Buy , I was trying to get $110 gift card. I kept getting a transaction failed message each time I tried to purchase. Then I changed the amount to $100 , the transaction finally accepted. I bought a Brst Buy gift card $100 daily limit is accepted only. I'm just not sure if that applies to all gift cards on the list. Change the vale of the card. Hope it works for you.
