Let's be nice!

I just want to ask that we make sure that this discussion does not turn into a personal attack on anyone.

The reason for starting this thread (or at least, letting you all know what happened) was to share an unfortunate series of events. As it transpires, we know this isn't a one off (in terms of not being ticketed correctly in LP).

The reasons for raising the complaints and pushing it to a higher level is that I feel passionately that there are lessons for AF to learn. The 'ticket check' seems to happen at a very late stage which clearly causes them problems. There is a process that needs addressing and fixing.

I would hate for anyone else to have the experience I had - trust me on that.

If there is a genuine ticket problem, then maybe AF should be doing the back office stuff and try to get this fixed before speaking to the customer. In my case, we know there was a mistake caused by LH. This was resolved when the AF CDG Station Manager spoke to the LH ticketing team in CDG. AF could have decided to not let me know about a problem, try and fix it and then if they cannot fix it, informing me that I will need to speak to the airline that ticketed you and escort them to the appropriate place in the meantime.

The fact is that when the interaction in the lounge happened, there was no attempt or want to try and fix the issue. It was only after I kept asking 'how do we actually resolve the problem' did the wheels start moving and the right people got involved. If I hadn't done that, I would have flown in J.
