But not up the front, which is the point of course... It's not nonsense to offer a more padded seat in CE at the cost of slightly increased pitch whilst squeezing in additional seats by having the slimline seat in ET. Its just that anyone sitting towards the front of ET in seats that are sometimes used for CE gets a bonus.
If it encourages more people to pay for seats towards the front of ET and/or keeps status passengers who can select them for free happier, I doubt BA is too worried
