The Lufthansa ticketing department in Paris had been contacted, also, in order to get further information. It seems as if the tickets were re-issued several times as you were originally issued with Avianca tickets. Naturally, Air France will bill Lufthansa for settlement.

They finally got the agreement to accept you and Mrs Ryanfozzie and to offer the full La Première service (on the ground and on board).

I am very sorry that it took time to be able to give reliable feedback but understand that the team tried to keep you informed at all times.
The case has obviously been looked into and people spoken to. I think what is mentioned above is the key point, and I am not sure you are going to get anywhere by attempting to escalate this; you already have a response from the department head. Who else has time to investigate this further? Frankly, the CEO may be concerned about paying LP customers, but someone on an Avianca miles ticket, which was, in the airline's view, dubiously booked? I think they will feel they can live without your business, especially as you have no loyalty with the airline.
Now, you have the 20,000 miles from the mal-functioning seat. That can get you something.
Whatever BA doles out as compensation is pretty irrelevant in this case, AF obviously feels it tried its best to accomodate you in the exceptionally unusual circumstances. And the compensation amounts being given out by AF-KLM have been radically reduced since covid. But like I said before, you could pursue a claim with LH and see how far that gets you.
