I'm a little unclear on the concept that fare class won't be considered given the language under "What to Know About Upgrade Priority" states:

Members at the same Medallion Tier will be cleared in order of fare class groupings for paid tickets, Award Tickets and Pay with Miles tickets, with higher fare classes among all ticket types holding higher priority.

Are they maintaining the same approach to clearly by fare class today but just making the language unnecessarily confusing?
