The number of 77A returned to service is far from 90%, and 6 frames have been transferred to QR .
I should clarify I was referring to 77Ws only when projecting that 90% are back in service, and this is not counting the six frames that were returned to lessor which are now flying to QR.
Of the 39 77Ws still in fleet today, only four are still at ASP (B-KPD, KPF, KQO, KQZ), two more are already brought back and being prepared to return to service (KQM and KQY). Looks like 77W will continue to play a significant role in CX's long-haul network assuming no more frames get returned back to lessor. I don't know if anyone outside of CX is really sure they will get sent to the East Coast again however which will play a significant role on pricing due to the greater capacity than A350 (especially the 35G variant). Premium flyers must also be peeved at the loss of F class on ports (namely JFK/ORD/BOS) where they used to be readily available before the pandemic.
