24 hour delay on a flight to GIG back in August - we were rebooked the following day following the cancelation of the flight. Claimed EU261 and got the payment within 10 days. Tried claiming Avios compensation also, but got rejected saying we'd already been compensated via EU261. Refused to give up and after 3 more complaints, 2 months later we've now been awarded 30k Avios per passenger (so 60k for me and the wife). Both in J but it was an award flight.
Absolutely crazy. No wonder BA complaints system is clogged up with this bloody nonsense. The EU261
