Let me restate why I think there could be a glitch in system.

A few weeks ago, Award travel was available via AA website/app for a specific day with multiple route options using BA metal.
None if that same award travel is available now.
But on AA sites, Paid fares are available for all those routes that previsouly had award travel, using same BA metal.

Go to BA site and Award travel is available for all same routes using BA Avios.
