Oh dear. It sounds like everything that could have gone badly with the BA flight did, while everything was just peachy on Easyjet on an apparently lightly loaded flight. I also note you didn't pay for a seat reservation speedy boarding or a checked bag, as Ive seen how much those extras cost these days.
Also you imply that this is not out of the ordinary for you, so perhaps you wanted to start a thread basically saying EasyJet is better than BA ? Certainly I have a couple of friends who'd agree. You seem to be drawing out what you believe are regular shortcomings, as after all you probably wouldn't bother if this was just a one-off let down. And plenty have sympathy that short-haul Euro business is not worth it.
But it's not been my experience. Only last week on a CE booking to Spain with a friend, we checked 5 bags (no queue at LGW premium check in); no wait at fast track, great food and drink in the lounge, boarding was a pleasure (group 1 called; everyone else stayed seated in the gate seating); nice food on board, plentiful drinks. 2 crew members who couldn't have been nicer or more proactive. Middle seat free of course. The only thing that I could have criticised is that our bags came out in the middle of the baggage delivery (I wont be writing in).
Easyjet would have been more expensive thanks to the bags alone, we'd have waited a lot longer to check in, no lounge or fast track, boarding is usually fine if you pay for speedy, but as you didn't then you can wait a while, but the onboard experience is generic economy, as after all they are serving the whole cabin, so there really is no comparison.
