I have about 150K points on Chase, United, and Delta. I have a trip coming up for the wife and kids that I can use miles. I need 3 tickets for flights that are all about the same in timing and destination, so really its down to spend strategy. Should spend the lowest or highest value points first?
Flight Amounts in Points- Chase - 30K miles
- United - 45K miles
- Delta - 51K miles
I have a feeling that I should use Delta, since miles usually only drop in value. However, I will be earning Chase and United miles consistently throughout 2024 with multiple $2500 long-haul United flights bought with Chase. I will not be flying with Delta much, so kinda feel like hoarding those miles for routes that are great with Delta, like RDU-DCA.
