What is your aversion to rear facing seats may I ask? As someone who gets motion sick I hate facing rearwards on trains and cars (don't even get me started on ferries) but I have had absolutely no issues with rear facing seats on aircraft.
I despise them for two
While I don't get motion sickness, I am always discombobulated for a bit when I have to stand, as facing the opposite direction of the motion of the vehicle/craft is not the norm. Secondly, on take off, I am pulled forward into the seat belt and have to jam myself with my legs to not be pulled out of the seat and have the belt cut into me. Once was enough for me. For me: rear facing seats on an aircraft are stupid. I avoid them at all cost. Thanks for your information as well. I will consider all options.
