The issue isn't QR. Issue is the agents QR use at AKL will likely insist can't be done. I've had this issue at AKL frequently. More so when NZ is the ground agent, but still have had issues with all of themvat various points.
Are you saying NZ ground agents wont interline QR > QR on separate PNRs?
Sadly the QR official policy seems to have disappeared from online, that said flew QR last month from BNE to LHR and then onward to Faro on BA and it wasnt an issue having bags interlined to separate PNR , shame the NZ staff arent playing nicely! Never collected bags at DOHA to be fair.. guess with an 8 hour layover it wont be an issue if NZ agents dont interline.
