I have an Air Canada 014 ticket that includes a segment with Avianca. When selecting seats on Air Canada's site it said the usual "check with the other airline" message for the Avianca segment. On Avianca's web page, when I use Air Canada's PNR it tells me that it is not an Avianca PNR and it does not let me do anything. I phoned AC and they tell me that there is no Avianca PNR. I phoned Avianca and they tell that "there is an error" and to go to the airport. Not very reassuring. if you use the Avianca app , input your lifemiles number (not AP number) and either the ac flight reference number or the ticket number it should work - or it least it has for me on the 3 flights I've taken this year ... if you want AP credit you can just have check in agent change it before flight . Cheers
