People really think there will be many more elites? That's crazy. How many are there now? How many people are going to spend 1k on Frontier over a year that aren't already doing so? Elite will continue to be from matches IMO.

I thought about it for a bit and I think it's a relative wash compared to current. Only people who lose are those racking up Elite qualifying with cheap mileage runs, who I understand an airline doesn't want to reward. As for the miles themselves, those are pretty much worthless to begin with so changing up the process doesn't make much difference. Takes a really weird situation to get a good redemption on them and with the fees for non elites i can't see them being worth much consideration.
