I assume the revenue is attached to the ticket and the FF# on the ticket, not to who paid for it. That's how it works on every other airline.

This is a huge negative development for me, since I am always hunting low fares and even go out of my way to buy at the counter. I understand why Frontier is doing it but still very disappointing. We'll see if I'm able to maintain status after next year... it certainly changes the equation when deciding which airline to fly. Right now, I fly Frontier almost exclusively, even if the timing or routing is worse. If I don't get the perks I'm currently getting as an elite, Frontier's fare will have to be significantly lower than the competition in those cases going forward.
