The location is great — you are super close to multiple subway lines to get you anywhere you want to go and there is a ton of fantastic food super close by. We followed up our stay here with the HR Kyoto and Grand Hyatt Tokyo later and hands down the breakfast in the Centric was the best of the three. An incredible spread for Japanese and western breakfast and all of the servers were quite attentive. Seriously, the breakfast was a major highlight here. Never tried the restaurant for food other than breakfast, but there were some decent options for the nightly welcome drinks at the bar for Globalists.
Welcome to FlyerTalk, manc! I applaud your first post here -- very substantive and helpful. Looking forward to more!

I recently had a several night stay at the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo as well and I concur with everything you said. We LOVED the hotel. Booked a beautiful suite that we loved. Friends with us were in standard rooms that were very functional and well appointed. The breakfast was one of the best, most varied spreads I've seen in years, almost anywhere. (We too went from this hotel to the HR Kyoto. First stay there in a many years. Breakfast in particular was good, but the Centric Ginza Tokyo blew it away.) The location of Centric was excellent in terms of access to subways, as you mentioned. and also to excellent restaurants and of course extraordinary the shopping of Ginza. We found the staff of the hotel friendly and eager to help, though not exceptionally competent or responsive -- but you can't everything. They seemed to be trying hard.

All-in-all this is now my favorite Hyatt in Tokyo.
