We could probably make this work. We do plan to take a walk on the beach in Kenting if the weather is nice - but not planning a full beach day or anything like that. My plan for the day there was to drive down to the southern end near Eluanbi Lighthouse. But if we overnight in Taitung we could swing down to the end on the way to our hotel in Kenting. Would still be there for the night market and then could leave a little later the next day. Adds an additional hotel switch but might be worth it.
