Hi! I have a different situation and I really appreciate your help! Today is Oct 22.
i am currently a Green with 271 points, which will expire on Nov 30, 2023.
on Oct 25 I have a flight by AA and I learnt from calculation page that I can get 10points;
On Oct 29, the return flight by AA and I can get another 10 points. When booking with AA, I already included my Cathay flyer number.

On Nov 5, I will fly from SFO to HKG with Cathay, I will turn 60 points. But I already used my flyer number when booked my return flights between HK and SF.

on Nov 10, i will fly to Melbourne, I will earn 32 points.

I learnt if I now use 60 points and upgrade to silver, all points will be zero, thus wasting a lot of points.

can you give me some advise on how to maximize the use of the potential points? Thank you!!!
