Looking to book three seats (two adults, one 2 3/4 year old) on a FAO-AMS-YEG route in March 2024. We normally fly PY on transatlantic routes with the toddler because Air Canada's pods won't accept the installation of a car seat.
FAO-AMS is Transavia - I have no expectations and we'll roll with whatever punches are thrown.
For AMS-YEG we are considering booking in J as the seat map is currently showing the old 2-2-2 configuration and they are not selling any PY seats. My recollection is that those J seats are older recliner seats which will take a car seat.
Does KLM have any other restrictions about travelling with a toddler in a car seat in the cabin? Any insight on whether it's likely the AMS-YEG route will get 1-2-1 refurb earlier than March? I appreciate it's a risk and we might have to gate check the car seat. Thanks!
