I don't understand this reaction to the AA F lounge. Well, at least to the food, that is (personally the "space" means little to me). BA F food is functionally the same as BA J food. Pies, a curry, some pasta, mostly on buffet (sometimes by QR code at Gatwick). I've been in AA F for breakfast so not seen what they put on buffet after that, but the a la carte menu looked very good, and I might have tried it but Gold status gone now. It seems to be too much credit given to BA and not enough to AA there.
Once, years ago, BA F food was good, and different from J food. Not currently (as far as I understand, my last visit was three months ago).
