I think I found it in some old records - it was actually HND where I had to self transfer (which must be what tickled my brain in the first place)-
sfo-hnd-kix-bkk. So the HND-KIX being a domestic connection made me have to transfer int to dom at HND and change myself and my bag - this was 5 years ago.
