If you are choosing between SQ or TG using points - I'd go for TG. I did that trip earlier this year and based on the recommendation I received here on FT, I chose TG - booked with Aeroplan. Good food, pleasant flight.

I've done Phuket to SIN on Scoot, while my friends were on SQ around same time which got delayed 4+ hours due to rains. Scoot managed to leave on time in the midst of a storm. Its perfectly fine for a 2 hour flight.
