BTW, just a side note... I recently booked a room with Priceline, prepaid as required, and brought my recent to the hotel at checkin (a Wellesley Inn in Fort Lauderdale). The hotel wanted my credit card at check in, and I asked him why (expecting security for room charges, or some such). However, he said for 'room taxes'. I said 'room taxes? They were all paid through Priceline. See here? This is the line item for room taxes on my receipt!'. He said 'oh, ok. Then I don't need your credit card.'
He didn't even take a look at my ID. I could have been anyone!
Does this sound to anyone like an attempted scam?
