ORD locals would like a word -- took me 75 minutes last time, 20 of 24 interview booths unstaffed, GE not working.
Current JFK T8 arrangements have got to be better than what used to await at T7. Once arrived from LHR there at 1030p or so and it took two hours to punch through.

Your concern is well warranted, especially given the necessary T5-->T3 transfer and having to reclear security at T3 -- know in advance what your subsequent AA flight options are. Hopefully you're not counting on making the last flight of the day.
