This was uninspiring as well, but I took this over the oatmeal as it was slightly more filling from my perspective.
I suppose the frittata itself had some moisture to it, with the help of the roasted tomatoes. What are the other option that you have for breakfast, if you don’t mind sharing? I would eat at the lounges if you’re flying J/F for sure.
I had access to the FL at MIA thanks to non-AA OWE, so I mostly stuffed myself there before my flight.
Ah, so the current dish (on Tcon anyway) is actually a bit different to that. Here's a pic. It was pretty good. The frittata was moist and tasty - actually more like a quiche filling without the pastry than a frittata. Only issue was there appears to be no dressing to accompany the salad, but the FA managed to find a vinaigrette from somewhere so all good. The mango was also really excellent by the way.
I would choose this option again for a breakfast flight ex-JFK. The other options were American hot breakfast, European cold plate, or steel cut oatmeal, none of which I fancied.
