Yeah, I think this comparison is valuable and my intent was not to make it be purely about cost, but as started above, whether it is this service or many other things, they have not been commercially viable hence there are no certainties that such service levels will continue to exist. It is like comparing office amenities of VC money backed up tech company vs.
government bureau. The comparison can be bit of historical study, not a basis for forecasting what will be status in 2024.

I just flew BA economy LH and Alaskan SH and both exceeded AY by far, BA even provided ice cream in whY (whilst people in BA board complain that ice cream is not available in GF at T5) and both seem to be making money so their service is sustainable.
