I booked a HKG-CPT standard J award for mid November earlier this week.
That is basically the same thing to a lot of people. Opening up some inventory a few weeks before isn't nearly the same as opening it up well in advance like they did before.
A lot of people can't simply make plans for long haul travel a few weeks out. It's effectively massively devalued the program unless it reverts back to something like it was a few months ago.
