After a string of 2/3 of trips through CLEAR resulting in the ID check, I've been sailing smoothly for the past 5-6. But I did see a pax arguing loudly with the CLEAR rep at IAD last Friday, saying she wasn't paying to show her ID, etc., as if the rep could somehow make the random ID check go away.
I made it thru 2 or 3 times without an ID check, then had it pop up on me today. Commiserated with Clear staff AND TSA checker, who both seemed over the silliness of checking them so often.
