I am a Million Miler with Delta and have a flight with Air France. It's not a codeshare - it is an AF flight. The booking was for a "Premium Economy Lite".

According to the AF check-in info, I am allowed 2 carry-on bags plus a personal item. I would rather check a bag since I am going from BCN to BOM.

Question is whether I can get a free checked bag on AF since I have the status with Silver status with Delta. When I tried to talk to AF via Whatsapp they told me to talk to Delta - which I thought was weird.

I did register my Skymiles account when I booked - so it makes me think the answer is no - I can't check a bag for free.

Anyone got similar experiences?
