Last year it worked fine for me, even when an IT problem meant that my 20th night arrived well after the 90-day period had ended.
I've been EXP since late 2019 (through the targeted match from Globalist) and Hyatt Globalist since it was called Diamond (through a targeted match from MGM Noir). Of course I've maintained both statuses since my initial matches.
