The Berlin Senator for Economic Affairs (Franziska Giffey) met with Emirates’ president (Sir Tim Clark) in Dubai in the Emirates Headquarter to speak about Emirates flights to Berlin (Berlin Brandenburg Airport).
Emirates wants to fly to Berlin but is currently not allowed to do this.
The federal government of Germany does not allow this currently because this would mean more competition for Lufthansa and their Hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
