Agree, just rock up around 25 mins before- if there is a queue for another flight they'll be looking out for your flight likely anyway but if not tell a staffer you're on the earlier flight and they'll whisk you through. SQ closes gates very late as plenty of connections at that time of night are sub 1hr anyway so this is a no risk approach in my experiences.
