The pending payment I had cleared, and the voucher was issued as normal. It's all a bit irrelevant anyway, because I've not got 2 vouchers on my account, and they'll both end up expiring without me getting the chance to use them!
If anyone else has this issue. I registered a complaint with Amex. I didn’t get a response however they did add the required amount to my previous periods companion voucher and it was rewarded. I just wish they were more open about this “pending” issue as I guess quite a few people get caught out.
