If you only need a one way it's not a bad price. You are going to pay a premium for a one way (over the half round trip price).
JetBlue also offers a round trip for $2440, and that includes $232 in APD that is not there on the one way. It's a $350 base fare each way (half round trip) and $1400 surcharge, so $2100 + taxes= $2440.
For the one way it's $750 for the base fare from BOS, + another $97 for DEN-BOS (it's a constructed fare, while the round trip is a through fare) in addition to the $700 surcharge. So you are paying the airline a $550 premium to buy a one way -- it's $1550 + taxes (very low taxes ex-US) for the one way vs $2100 + taxes for the round trip.
