In general, I’ve noticed a trend over the past few years of hotels moving to synthetic pillows only (which I often find too firm/high and don’t like). I’ve assumed that due to some guests having feather/down allergies, they’ve decided to just make everyone use the feather/down free options to reduce the workload on housekeeping needing to change out pillows.
