Sounds like a ridiculous waste of money, was lucky enough to visit Siem Reap in March before this switch. Hardly looked like it was capacity-constrained, easy tarmac road at $10/car each way.
Don't think I'll ever be back, I personally found Angkor Wat to be a once-in-a-lifetime visit (well worth it, but wouldn't be different enough the second time to want to go)
