Oh thanks for the idea. I'm not exactly in a hurry but also ideally would avoid having to deal with something like this. But still good to know the option just in case.

Yeah paying at the airport will work for sure, just more expensive as you miss out on the prepaid rates. I just don't know if the system will allow me to add more excess baggage once I add the 30kg international connection one.
I might know someone who could possibly try this out on their ticket so I can confirm on the options.
