Thanks for the information. I used to book some of the chowari and maeuri fares when I lived in Aomori. At that time it was easy because the ANA office was on the bottom floor of my office building.

I was actually able to see the list of fares (in Japanese) on the JAL website the other day, but the only discounts available for the days I wanted to travel were special fares for the handicapped and for people who are taking care of a sick relatives. Do you know if they'll add more discounts closer to the time of the flight?
