Thanks for all the input re: tequila LOL.

The first part of the stay was great--excellent food (Sunday brunch indeed is pretty awesome and everything I ate and drank during my stay was delicious), fantastic massage at the spa, nice pools--then Monday came and all hell broke loose. Anyone ever stay in a room right next to a room going through major renovations that involve something like drilling and jackhammering nonstop (except for what I assume was lunch time) all day? Not nearby, but the next door. Yeah, that was me, and no, it's not good. The worst part, however, was the hotel's response to my complaint which was essentially "sorry, but it will be done by 5pm and there's no construction on weekends yay!" Doing anything in the room--relaxing, sleeping, working, staying sane--was not possible with the vibrating sound that completely surrounded the room and I essentially had to just stay out of the room all day. What is the point of being on vacation at a resort if you can't really use your room?? I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that they chose to put someone in that room and then didn't try to do anything to mitigate the situation when the complaint arose. This just seemed like a ridiculous lapse in customer service and I am really pissed and disappointed. I understand construction needs at a place like this but to put someone right next door... jeez. So The Cape ended up being a big miss for me and it really bummed me out. If anyone is going soon and will be there during the week, specifically ask for a room away from construction!
