All seats in SAS Go, Plus and Business are chargeable on flights to/from USA and Asia, at time of reservation, with differentiated pricing, depending on seat location. Reservation is available via travel agents and SAS sales channels and can be made until check-in opens. Also bookable for travel agents in Asia, using Abacus Axess, and Travelsky. When flights opens for check-in 30 hours before departure, all unreserved seats, including chargeable seats, are free for all passengers in SAS Go, Plus and Business
So no seat selection for free at all.... The idea of giving elites better access to good seats can be managed by blocking seats, not by charging everyone else. But I guess it is just too much money to give away.....
