I don't think it will make a difference for purchases on the BA website. Point of sale can make a big difference to the fare, due to availability being different e.g. purchasing a ticket on UA in PE from SYD-LHR was $800 cheaper due to US availability being better than AU availability, but was able to address that simply by changing country on the UA website and paying in USD.
