I so dislike monetization of seat selection in premium cabins that I actively book away and otherwise try to refuse to play that game on the airlines’ terms.

When BA started this in the business class cabins, that started costing them my business and they got a lower share of my travel dollars and they never got back the share they lost. I do wonder if SK will exempt DL and AF/KL SkyTeam ElitePlus customers from these seat selection charges in business class.
