We missed connection last year on BRU - DOH - AKL route business award booking.
We were 2 adults, 2 different PNR's due to award booking.

They were waiting on us when we arrived in DOH, I immediately saw the problem in the agent's eye when he noticed we were travelling together.
They only had a solution for one of us.

They tried looking for a solution and put us in the lounge when waiting.
I went back and checked every hour.
After 5 hours I lost my temper and went to the desk and said that i wouldn't move before I had a solution.

They couldnt find anything within 3 days without downgrading due to no availability.
Finally we somehow had a decent solution, we would be routed the next day via SYD and have a jetair economy flight from SYD to AKL.

After we got our tickets we received a hotel in the center. Not something nice, looks like a fake disney palace with really bad food.
Our flight to SYD was fine, A380 and business class.

In SYD we once again had 3h delay.
Qatar would relabel our luggage and be sure it would be on the flight of SYD to AKL.

This was not the case, our luggage got lost.

Worst travel experience ever. Be sure not to miss a connection with QR with a business award booking on popular routes.
