Is AF/KL known for being hard a$$ on the rules or is there any personal experiences of consideration? With DL, the rule is the same, but there is lots of circumstantial evidence (even happened to me a few years ago during a messy IROP), where they had no problem rebooking the second ticket that was impacted by the IROP of the first ticket.
Just curious what the real world experience is here, not that I would recommend it.
Yes i have had some colleagues trying to play that game and they had to buy a new ticket. One may always be lucky, get a nice agent, have them skip the rules due to status or how egregious the delay of the first itinerary was and how much time you had planned in between the two (I'm "only" Plat for Life so below
Goldorak's Ulti in the pecking order, but above pretty much all else I think and I still wouldn't take generosity for granted) but that's a massive risk to take especially is the second itinerary is an expensive one.
