So earning the platinum for 2024 (i'm very near to be diamond again) was totaly useless because when i will put my new FB account number

no free seat
no priority bag
no free bag
no lounge access
no upgrades (on AF i got upgraded thee times this year from the economy light to premium economy thanks to my delta diamond)
So i wasted money this year to be delta diamond next year and cannot use it
It's really bad that they said only near end of year.
If i knew the changes from early this year, i could have been already silver or maybe gold in FB
In aeromexico domestic flight, the delta status, only gives you the priority. No lounge (it's domestic) no free seat, no free bag. So i could have credited to FB instead of delta
I am very disappointed because they should have told us early this year, so everyone could choose if to start a new Frequent flyer program, or remain with delta
But also i thanks delta for these years because i always had excelent experience with them, i received 20k miles every time being platinum and 75k miles reaching diamond (i'm diamond from 2019).
What is my suggestion?
If delta doens't want no more international skymiles members, maybe they can agree with airfrance a migration, so next year we can start crediting flights to FB, but we can use our 2024 delta status.

I'm in a similar boat as you.... I'm an Expat from the US, living Mexico..... you will still get the benefits until January 1, 2025 though.....
My situation is probably worse as I am sitting on over 600,000 MQM rollover after this year.... The way I see it for the next few years I will probably only be flying 40 to 70 thousand miles a year, and though my rollover was going to keep me Diamond for 10 years or so if that rate kept up.... plus I am getting close to 2MM with Delta.....
We can't get the Amex credit cards here for Delta, and pretty much every scenario to make Platinum or Diamond involves spending a bunch on those cards in addition to flying a lot. If they don't announce the "new retro" changes before I book my next flight.... I will be booking whoever has the best flight schedule and price..... Plus I am sick of flying on Aeromexico or AirFrance and having to spend the time to make sure I get the proper credit for my flights...... I know i've missed out on at least 10,000 MQMs from AeroMexico because I couldn't get the ticket number any longer from anyone, and Delta can't do anything with just the confirmation number.....
Get the Amex Plat in Mexico, it's cheap compared to the USA, includes priority pass for lounges.... only difference is if you visit the centurion lounge you have to pay for your food, unlike the USA card it's all included......
I have my last flight booked for Delta coming up in 2 weeks, and I will probably need to book my next flight by the middle of next week..... Alaska Airlines is looking the best for me for many of my trips..... They are offering a status match, but I can't get the credit card to make it last through next year, and doubt I will fly enough to meet the requirements to keep the status....
Also keep in mind if you go to ITA airways, even though they are part of SkyTeam, right now you don't earn any miles flying Aeromexico, nor Delta or vice versa.....
Aeromexico's program really kind of sucks too....
